Mount Harrison, located in British Columbia, in the southwest corner of the Canadian Rockies, was the last over >11,000 feet summit in the Canadian Rockies to be climbed. There wasn't a lot of interest in the mountain, despite the South face being an easy scramble, until it was announced to be more than 11,000 feet. Mount Harrison was not ascended or named until 1964, and was named after an airgunner from nearby Cranbrook, BC, Francis Arthur Harrison, who was killed in action aboard a Lancaster bomber during World War II.

Our bags are made in a small Indian studio using Indian goat hide leather. Our bags are made of naturally tanned (chemical free) genuine leather and are lined with cotton canvas. All of our hides are oiled, not dyed, which brings out the natural beauty of the leather.
A few things to keep in mind: While we are almost certain that you’ll love your Mountain Messenger Bag, we can’t guarantee that your bag will look exactly like the one shown in our pictures.
Our leather bags are made from un-dyed leather. We are selective about the hides that are used in our bags, but we don’t use dyes to cover the small spots and markings that are natural and authentic.
Goat hides come in a variety of colors and shades. The bag you receive will very likely not be the exact same color as the one shown, and may also combine hides of different shades.
Leather will last for a lifetime. Scratches and snags are unavoidable when our bags are put to good use. Goat hide is soft and very durable, and unlike most leathers, it will actually look even better as it ages! Your bag will develop a beautiful natural patina over time, so don’t be afraid to use it.
Please also note that when you first receive it, your bag will smell of leather – unfortunately, this wonderful smell mostly fades within a few weeks!
